A novel technique to limit renal warm ischaemia time during laparoscopic partial nephrectomy.

چکیده
Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) is now accepted as a minimally invasive treatment option for small favourably located renal tumours [ 1 ] . Renal ischaemia is frequently necessary during both open PN (OPN) and LPN to facilitate tumour dissection and renal reconstruction in a bloodless fi eld. In OPN, this can often be achieved by manual compression, particularly for peripheral tumours. However, this is hard to replicate in the laparoscopic setting, and most surgeons rely on clamping the renal artery(ies) at the level of the hilum.

Impact of “non-clamping technique” on intra- and postoperative course after laparoscopic partial nephrectomy
INTRODUCTION The use of kidney warm ischaemia during laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) may lead to damage of renal vessels and kidney failure. Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy done without clamping the renal pedicle is feasible and may be beneficial for the postoperative course. AIM To compare intra- and postoperative course in patients undergoing LPN with and without kidney warm ischaem...

INTRODUCTION The incidence of the diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma has increased during the past two decades. Kidney damage occurring beyond 30 min of warm ischaemia is significant and mostly irreversible, even in completely normal renal systems. The aim of this study was to evaluate the role and safety of early removal of renal artery clamps and its influence on warm ischaemia time and renal ...

Objective- Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) has been proven to be a safe and effective technique in human. This study was conducted to evaluate the feasibility and safety of utilizing laparoscopic partial nephrectomy in dogs and to compare this technique with open routine partial nephrectomy for the first time in Iran. Design- Experimental study. Animals- Sixteen large mixed-breed femal...

Photomedicine and Laser Surgery, 32 (2). pp. 5 Abstract Objective: Aim of this study was to evaluate application of diode laser in laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) and to question this technique in terms of ease of tumor excision and reduction of warm ischaemia time (WIT).

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) is a challenging procedure that requires quick and effective intracorporeal suturing, that could limit widespread adoption. Refinements of surgery have improved warm ischemia times and facilitated renal reconstruction. We present a technique that makes renorrhaphy easier using Self-Retaining Barbed Suture (SRBS) weaving two thre...
